Psoriasis is a very common skin disease and is usually more severe in men than in women. This is one of the most common inflammatory dermatoses in middle-aged people and is particularly prevalent in men and people with clear, dry skin.

After 14 days of treatment with this kind of shampoo, whose main ingredient was CBD in the 50 individuals, the results were conclusive: tolerance to treatment was 9 out of 10 individuals. In addition, no side effects were reported; and, most importantly, the improvements in the conditions were more than noticeable.

The mean severity scores for erythema and scaling were 5.5 and 7.0 respectively. The subjective assessment scores for itching and burning at baseline were 6.9 and 4.5, respectively. After treatment, erythema and scaling were reduced to 1.3 and 1.6. On the other hand, the itching and burning were 1.5 and 1.0.

“The mean scores of the subjects’ assessment for tolerability and overall satisfaction at the end of the study were 9.0,” concluded the study conducted by Drs. Colombina Vincenzi and Antonella Tosti.
