A clinical study conducted in Australia concluded that the provision of cannabis for therapeutic use is safe and effective after two years. Oral medical cannabis has increasingly been prescribed for a wide range of clinical conditions since 2016.
The study conducted by Emyria Pty assessed the safety of the use of these extracts in chronic pain, psychiatric use, neurological diseases, and other diagnoses. To reach these conclusions, an electronic registry cohort of 3961 patients was conducted analyzing the use of an oil for two years.
The results indicate good results at the oral daily dose of 10 mg THC and 22 mg CBD. The measurement included: insomnia, clinical global impression, pain severity, mental health and health status.
