The famous cannabis scientist, Raphael Mechoulam, announced the creation of a synthetic cannabinoid more powerful than tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) or cannabidiol (CBD).
This discovery dubbed EPM301, patented by the Israeli scientist, would be a new compound that could be used as a treatment against nausea, anxiety and otherinflammatory problems.
Cannabinoid arises from the partnership between researchers of an American biotechnology company is a synthetic version of the natural acids of these compounds. A possible explanation of its development is the instability of acidic varieties of cannabinoids (THCA, CBDA, etc.).
“EPM has developed a method for working with the original substances of cannabis,” Mechoulam explained.
Preliminary studies show that EPM301 has been shown to effectively suppress anxiety as well as nausea, without causing side effects.
“While discussed about THC and CBD, these cannabinoids are in fact secondary substances, they appear later in the plant. At its origin, there is an acid that appears in the plant, and these acids are mystery worldsthat are much more potent than cannabinoids,” he said.
This research suggests that the compound may be used to treat chemotherapy, intestinal inflammation or psoriasis.
