Renowned American doctor will give lectures on medicinal cannabis in Costa Rica

The renowned American doctor Joseph Rosado will give a lecture called “Effect of medicinal cannabis on public health” on April 25 and 26 at Sala Garbo.

Dr. Rosado resides in Florida, one of the places where medical cannabis is not only legal, but it was in 2018, the state that most developed in this matter, according to a study from Leafly.

As a general practitioner he has been practicing between 11 and 20 years. Born in New York, but raised in the Bronx, he moved to Florida where he first graduated as a chiropractor and clinical nutrition.

After practicing for some years, he moved to the Universidad Central de Este in San Pedro de Macoris. There he received in 2001 his title as a general practitioner.

His professional career has led him to hold positions as director of the Salt Lake City clinic, and he was part of the medical team of the Costa Rican Sports Institute.

As of 2005, after completing his masters degree in care management at the University of Phoenix. This experience was necessary to assume the leadership of the Division of Communicable Diseases of the St. Jonhs County Health Department.

As of 2015, dr. Rosado begins his studies on medicinal cannabis in the context of discussions and training on the subject, and legalization in Florida.
