The study monitored by Syqe included 143 patients, of whom 72% were diagnosed with chronic neuropathic pain. After the research, 92% of these patients said they had an improvement in their quality of life.

People who were the subject of the study used the Syque 1.1 inhaler (comercial name: SyqeAir) in order to analyze the long-term efficacy of the device and the delivery of doses between 250-500 μg of Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (Δ9-THC).

The results were overwhelming: 92% of patients reported an improvement in quality of life. Adverse effects (34% of patients), these were mainly reported at the titration phase and less than 4% decided to discontinue treatment before the first 15 months. Likewise, only 7% reported anxiety or psychoactive restlessness.

The researchers concluded that “medical cannabis treatment with the Syqe inhaler demonstrated an overall long-term pain reduction, improved quality of life and a higher adverse event profile compared to conventional medical cannabis administration.”
