This is what the first legal medical cannabis grow in Argentina looks like

A mega cultivation of medical cannabis announced by the ministry of health the previous year, has become a reality.

It is the first legal plantation located in the municipality of Jujuy in northeastern Argentina.

In a visit by Governor Gerardo Corrales and accompanied by local journalists, he said that “Jujuy is generating a milestone in this type of production, which not only addresses health, but also constitutes an alternative for productive diversification.”

During the tour of the mixed capital company, the people in charge of the project were discussed who showed the different parts of the process: germination, greenhouse and seed adaptation.

The crop will be destined to the production of oils

“This year we will manufacture in Jujuy the first medical cannabis oil in the Argentine Republic, Morales said despite the criticisms that have been raised over the past year.

The truth of the matter is that it is the first province in South America to take the bull by the horns and address the issue in an institutional, scientific, medical and economic way.

“The initial project plans to have 35 hectares,” Morales said.

One of the final phases of the project will be the implementation of a laboratory that follows the health and pharmacology guidelines for the extraction and processing of cannabis extracts. It is estimated that in the second half of this year, the first products from this crop will begin to be manufactured.
