The new forms of application of cannabidiol (CBD) for topical use aim to have very good results in the regeneration of the skin.
In a study where 45 patients with systemic sclerosis were recruited between January 2019 and December 2019, excellent results were seen against pains related to digital ulcers.
Of the participants, 25 were treated with CBD during surgical debridement and 20 with standard therapy.
Those who were treated with CBD had the lowest scores, also had an increase in sleep and improved overall health. The latter had less need for traditional analgesic treatments. The latter had less need for traditional analgesic treatments.
“Topical CBD may be a valuable tool for treating pain related to digital ulcers,” the researchers conclude.
