In Israel, a group of researchers were tasked with investigating the association of phytocannabinoids and migraine.

Cannabis managed to decrease the frequency of migraine using medicinal cannabis. The group of 145 patients were patients with a registered medical sheet.

“Patients were classified between respondents and no respondents unanswered responses (50% vs. 50%. <50% decrease in monthly migraine attacks followed by tratamiento with cannabis). “

Compared to the non-respondents patients to the treatment, 89 who were effective report less recurrence of migraine accompanied by less impact..  This response also influences the consumption of opium-derived medications and triptan medicinal products.

“The results indicate that the results obtained with medicinal cannabis produced a long-term reduction in the frequency of migraine in > 60% of treated patients and is associated with a lower disability and a lower intake of anti-migraine  drugs”, concludes the research.
