A new study shows that consuming hemp oil could have a positive impact on cholesterol levels.
Research conducted by scientists at the Center for Applied Health Sciences in Ohio and the University of Missouri indicates that CBD derivatives of hemp oil could reinforce so-called “good cholesterol” levels (HDL levels).
Its purpose was to determine the “effects of a commercially available, GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe) by independent conclusion, CBD-containing hemp oil extract on stress resilience, perceived recovery, mood, affect, body composition, and clinical safety markers in healthy human subjects.
The study method used a double-blind design involving “65 overweight people alongside healthy men and women.” Each was supplied with hemp oil or a placebo each day.
The results are conclusive.
In the group of people who consumed hemp extract improved levels of good cholesterol, also known as HDL, in English.
“Hemp supplements improved HDL cholesterol levels that tended to support psychometric measures of sleep, stress response and perception of quality of life was highly tolerated without any concern.”
